Hi, I've just taken some photos of a beautiful sunset over Otley Chevin.
I would like to know what you would do in Photoshop to improve/get the best out of them, Cheers, Karl

Nice shots, think you were looking at the same sunset as me!!
As for Photoshop I mainly just convert from RAW to Jpeg and keep them "as shot", so not much help to you!

Nice shots Karl, I really like them.

There are many ways how to process them and it's just what your taste is or what you want to do with the photo.

I was so free to use one of your photos as an example if you've a problem with that I'll delete it okay.

Mainly Played with the curves but there is also a tweaked darken layer to get the detials and colour of the lower half back. I might have overdone it a bit but it's just to give you an idea.

Cheers, Stefan, you have done exactly what I wanted somebody to do. I wanted to see what other people would do. I quite fancy converting some to black and white.

They are all shot in RAW by the way so plenty of scope with them.

To be honest, having looked at them again, they are very dramatic just as they are shot.
I was on my way back from shopping in Harrogate and I am so glad I had the Pentax in the boot. As luck would also have it, I had my old 28mm lense on. The available window of opportunity doesn't last very long with these sun sets does it?

Just a couple of shots taken about the same time as yours, but a bit further north than yourself.

Very nice shots.

Personally, I prefer those with some foreground added in the bottom. Just the sky seems a little empty to me. But as Stefan says, you can really put in any mood by tweaking in PS.
Best regards
Terry
