I have a new ist ds still sealed in the box i got a while ago to have as a spare.
So my question is at this stage would i be better off selling it and buying one of the new cameras?
or is it not really worth selling at this stage?

Sell it sooner rather than later. Just don't expect too much for it.

I still love and use my ds2 alongside two k10's
I'd keep it.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Thanks for the comments
I am using a ds at the moment, and was going to put the 2nd one in use.
But would I be better up grading one of them or just stick with what I have?

Only you can answer that question. It very much depends on whether an upgrade is going to provide any benefit to you and/or your photography.

The problem you'll have after upgrading to a K20D say, is that you'll probably not use your remaining DS very much afterwards. The K10/20D bodies are significantly larger than your DS so size could be an issue.

The *istDS is a great camera, so quite useable if 6MP is enough. The pentaprism viewfinder sets it apart from some of the other 6MP Pentax bodies.

If it is new and sealed then it should get a fair price on eBay.

A used DS body only recently went for £137 on eBay. An unused one is a rarity and should fetch quite a lot more.

Think about whether you might prefer a K10D or K20D, otherwise keep the DS, is my suggestion.

Before you decide to put it on fleabay, give me a pm. If the price is reasonable, I am interested.

Martin.

It will be in the seller's interest to auction the item due to the rarity. It would be hard to come up with a price otherwise - which may well be lower than what it would fetch in auction.

I paid £137 for mine ( *istDL ) inc. the kit lens. But I did have to watch Ebay for about 3 months to get one that cheap.
Getting there! Thanks to you guys
