I would like to add a lense to my small collection and am thinking in the range of 20-40mm or thereabouts but usable in low light conditions. What recomendations does the forum have. I am open to 3rd party lens such as Sigma and Tamron and if anyone out there is considering selling such a lens please get in touch.

Many thanks

Cheers

Ian

If you want a prime then I can honestly say the Pentax 21 ltd, the Sigma 30/1.4 and Pentax 35/f2 are all excellent lenses unlikely to disappoint unless you have some specific requirement in mind. You should be able to be able to get them all s/h at reasonable cost.

Mike gave you some good prime options.
If you are open to zoom options too, I'd suggest Sigma 20-40/2.8 and Tokina 20-35/2.8.

Tamron 17-50 f2.8 goes a bit outside your quoted range (on both sides), but it's a well regarded lens for the price.
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

And you shouldn't forget the DA* 16-50 2.8.

There is also a sigma 18-55 or 50 f/2.8 as well
