Adobe PSE-7

Just paid ( Tracey picked me up off the floor) for and downloaded PSE-7 , and I am quite surprised it works very well, got all the bits and bobs that I have been useing in CS3 for a year or two.
Works with Lightroom back & forth ok, anyone else here used it yet or thinking about it :.

I have PSE6. I think that will do me for a while. I'll probably wait for PSE8 before upgrading. I also won't buy it direct from Adobe after truly terrible customer service from them when I first bought PSE4. Plus the fact that I found the full PSE6 on CD-rom cheaper almost everywhere than the upgrade download was from Adobe.

Well it cost me with VAT £78, in PC World it's £79 plus a fiver to go and get it, so I have saved a bit, and for what I use Photoshop for now and then CS3 was just sitting there taking up space, and Adobe Bridge was getting on my T**s keep closing for no reason.

Adobe is offering the full package for €90.77, and the upgrade for €82.28. Foto Konijnenberg, a big photographic shop here, is offering the full deal for €83.55. No doubt I could find it cheaper if I looked further.

When I ordered PSE4 I opted for downloading it - but I never received the key to it, so it was useless. We contacted them by e-mail and phone and they just didn't respond. Eventually the Bill payer got really pissed off with them over the phone (calling Ireland all the time an expensive hobby!) and they said they would send me the CD. They did -one day DHL were at the door with it, the next day FedEX were at the door with another one. Ridiculous. It took nearly two months to get it sorted. So now I buy from a trusted Dutch supplier, or if all else fails, from Amazon.

That all said, I am very happy with PSE6, much better, and more stable than PSE4. I shall see what extras PSE7 offers but I don't think I will be upgrading just yet.

They sent the number first in a e-mail, when I went to download it and the number was on the screen with the download, waiting for me to click on it.

I am planning to upgrade from PSE 5.

I made the upgrade from PSE 4 to 5 downloading from Adobe, I was really hacked off to discover Costco selling cd and book for £20 less a fortnight later. I will upgrade to 7 but only when Costco have it!
