Support for .PEF files produced by the Pentax K20D and K200D cameras has been added to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom in their version 1.4 release.

My thoughts exactly. Phase One (CaptureOne)? Last again.

Is the PEF format for the k20/200 different then? Seems a good reason to stick to DNG?
Please call me aj,

I use a Pentax K10D, on a MacBook with LightRoom (vers 1.3 + beta 2)

Yes, it's different. If the in-camera DNG was compressed, I think I'd use it too.

I have just read on the Adobe website that they have temporarily suspended download of 1.4 due to 'serious bugs' and recommend uninstalling it for the time being.

I've not noticed any issues, thanks for the 'heads up' though.

The bugs don't affect Pentax users so I'm going to continue using 1.4 untill they release 1.41, 1.5 or whatever they want to call it.

PS. I don't use DNG.

What about the time stamp error? That's not pentax or DNG specific.

No worries aj. I'm still with V1.1 and as I have a K100D there is no pressing need for me to update Lightroom yet.

Hi, could you explain why having a K100D makes you think you wouldn't benefit from a newer version of Lightroom? Version 1.31 is stable, more so than the version 1.1 you are using.

Version 1.4 is definitely flaky which is why I've downgraded to 1.31.

Hi Mannesty, Sure. I hadn't got around to it, simple as that. And as the 1.4 download is currently unavailable I'll wait as I have no pressing need to update it anyway at this time.
