How? I have seached the forum but found nothing - I have added images to my prtfolio but how do I add them to a post or comment?

I am sure that the information is there somewhere but alas I haven't found anything yet. So please feel free to point me in the right direction rather than go over the same topic for the 100th time.

You need to upload an image to a 3rd party host, i.e. photobucket then link the image to the post or comment.

Even when corrected the link doesn't work - try Photobucket, which works without any problem.

It was worth the wait !

Photobucket is easy to use, though it is quicker to upload your photos already resized. It is one of the few sites which allows hotlinking.

Sorry John, but YES YOU CAN link from the gallery

Go to picture in gallery (page where you can add comment) click on picture to get larger version

If using FireFox then click on large picture and you will go to a page which shows only the picture URL to include as the linked to picture is shown in the address block.

If not using Firefox right click on page background select view source and extract URL from the shown listing.

The picture below is a direct display of a picture of mine from the gallery

Nice picture, now one more thing... your pictures will look better here if resized to 800 pixels along the longest side.

EDIT: I was referring to the OP's picture

Well thanks guys for all the help and kind comments. The Photobucket solution seems to be the easiest so I'll be off to upload some images to there right now!

and just for good measure heres another stab (this time resized to 800)

Cheers MZ

Hope I did this right: I was in 'photogalaxy'from where I could link photos to Pentax User, then since I had my computer 'upgraded' I cannot get photogalaxy to open even when I try to log in,so I am trying the method mentioned, selecting a photo from the 'Gallery'
Only the URL thingy showed up. but it works if you click on that.
been a member of Pentax Club since the Ron Spillman era! Got COMPUTERISED at last - DIGITISED? Taken the PLUNGE - BUT FILM STILL RULES !!!
