Aberdeen - Shetland Trip

A few images from last weeks trip to Shetland, all with the K10D + FA50mm f1.4

The first 2 were taken hand-held from the moving ferry leaving Aberdeen Harbour. I'm so happy that I got round to sorting the back-focus issues on the K10D, or these shots probably wouldn't have been possible.

I could kick my own ass for not doing it sooner.

The last 2 pictures are from Lerwick Harbour, using a long exposure and a tripod.

Good series, #1 being my favourite. 3 and 4 have no light left in the sky but I like the speeding ships.
With #1 I like that you see a bit of the city.

And, of course, the angle of view is far too narrow.

I like #3 followed by #1
#4 is amusing but ultimately too much black.
#2 is too noisy (but that's just me)

Nice shots and no. 1 is my favourite. I thought the fisheye was super-glued onto your K10D?

Best wishes, Kris.

#1 for me too. I like that it seems lively, what with all that color

Wow, I really like the colours and reflections in number 1, a nice bit of life still in the sky too.
