WRT the B&W image. It works very well with subject matter centre, left and right of the image. No sign of anything man made in the far distance comes across as nothing of further interest thus keeping the eyes looking at the main subject which is well balanced by the buildings either side further into the image.

Yes, the B&W is a better version with more invitation to explore what's there - which is quite a lot

Thank you all for your comparison comments,personally I prefer the Mono version, indeed I am now mostly producing and conceiving shots with a view to processing in B&W
