I've not used the Powerex batteries, but have had and still use several sets of 4 Eneloops, recycle time is short and sweet, particularly in flash guns and on occasions have left them for 6 months or so, and they are still almost fully charged with decent recycle times.

eneloop pro vs powerex, I have the impression (just impression) that the powerex last longer in the flash.
I have bought the ikea ones but not tested yet.
Powerex 2700 last slightly longer but recycle times are double the eneloops once you get over about 200 flashes..... See......eneloop pro vs powerex, I have the impression (just impression) that the powerex last longer in the flash.

ooohhh interesting, I always compared them with the eneloop pro and not the white that I use for the triggers, maybe it's time to change their purpose sebas77 wrote:

Edit: why do you use the recicle times are double? I don't read that from that page
4) Eneloop White 1900 mAh @ 1.68 sec
5) Powerex 2700 mAh @ 1.70 sec
and over 200:
Eneloop White 1900 mAh @ 3.5 sec
Powerex 2700 mAh @ 2.33 sec
powerex are faster?

It gives them lower down the page .....
RECYCLE TIME (each brand tested at 5th, 100th, 200th, 300th, and 400th pop):
The times in seconds are given.

Yes at 200 Powerex are faster, but at 300 they become slower...
@ 300th Pop
1) Eneloop 2450 mAh Pro @ 2.5 sec
2) Powerex 2700 mAh Pro @ 2.7 sec
3) Powerex 2600 mAh @ 2.9 sec
5) Eneloop White 1900 mAh @ 3.6 sec
7) Powerex 2700 mAh @ 5.8 sec
I'm referring to the Powerex 2700 mAh. There is a Powerex 2700 mAh Pro which is faster.
I wouldn't bother too much about the recycle times. Anything under 5 secs is still fast. Eneloop or Powerex both quite capable.

My experience is that Maplin batteries are fairly rubbish, Eneloops are great. Some "cheap" batteries from China are pretty good, a fraction the price of Eneloops.
