I need to replace my old HP A3 Deskjet 9650 printer. It’s main function is to proof images ready for submission to printers, brochures and of course the occasional little picture from my Pentax. Any suggestions for something in the £300 to £350 bracket.

Canon ix4000 is excellent it prints up to A3+ and prints photolab quality pictures and goes for about £250

I recently wanted to upgrade my A3 printer. I looked at the Epson R2880.
In the end I decided to buy the Epson 3800, which is an A2 printer.
The reason apart from size and print quality, was that the 3800 comes with 9off - 80ml (total 720ml) ink cartridges, included in the price. Most other printers have only 12ml cartridges.

If you don't want to break the bank, you can get the HP Photosmart B8550. Very decent results for a down to earth price. Unfortunately, there is no continuous ink system available for it.

Thanks for the comments, I'll go and have a look at these. I need to do a cost price comparison on ink usage to justify a purchase, the A2 printer would be really nice but the sight of my boss banging her head of the desk is just to painful.
