A walk down Grey Srtreet

Grey Street between Newcastle centre and the Quayside is a delight of neo classical architecture. On a cold December afternoon this week I did the walk with the K30+DA*16-50mm lens. The street, almost a rival for some of those in Bath, has a mix of the city's famous Theatre Royal, shops, offices and cafes.

Hello David - I particularly like the last one with it's dramatic lighting from the sinking sun, the low viewpoint and the iconic bridge creeping into shot.

I am enjoying this sort of shooting environment also at present - these densely packed city areas offer so many creative options, and you've created these very well here

I really like the angles and diagonals drawn out on the old stone building. Personally I do think both these (1st & last one) would benefit from some shadow lifting, just in the darkest parts of the underhangs and window areas.

Very nice set David. The light on the last one is fabulous, and the diagonal line is very cleverly done. Can't make my mind up on the chairs - whether it would be better cropping out the table, or leaving as is

Very creative and cleverly done, high quality!

The only one that doesn't particularly catch my eye is #4, but it ties the others together as a documentary shot.

Grey Street Abstract for me. But I'd love to know how Grey Street Impression was made?

Just a reflection in a restaurant window Barrie. The glasses were artwork on the window.
