Some film.

Done.
I tend to go MX, 50/1.4, 28/2 and 85/2 in one small bag with film and batteries, paperback book - but your point is well made!
My go-tos are a 28/3.5 and Voigtlander Ultron 40/2.
That said, I might limit myself to one lens for my annual trip to Belgium this year. Which one, I'm not sure of yet...

40/2 is perfect for travel.

All this talk of the MX takes me back - I used to have an M35/2, M50/1.4 and M85/2.0 with my black MX and winder, a great little outfit and it certainly fits the bill for size and weight, But I'm not going back to the film days - if I did I'd have to have a darkroom set up (I was never overly happy with others D&P'ing my black and white stuff), and there's no way that would get the green light in our house

Changing bag, dev tank and either a scanner or a backlight for digitally 'scanning' your negs with a DSLR and Macro lens and job's a good'un. Folds down to not a lot of space, either!

Nope - if I went back to film I'd have to go the full mile! The absolute delight to see your 20" x 16" black and white image appearing in the dim red light of your home darkroom just cannot be beaten
