Slightly jetlagged at the moment and trying to stay up as late as possible , so probably not the best time to post
However I strongly suspect once the good Doctor has had a look at adequate brick wall comparisons with enough copies he'll find it's quite a bit softer at the edges.. and sometimes in other areas... than lenses like the 12-24 etc, particularly at low apertures
But IMHO that's not the point of this lens. It has a certain zing about the rendering, is hugely compact, beautifully engineered and a joy to use and (probably irrelevantly) does starbusts better than any other lens I've used. Pixel peeping will probably find the lens out compared to the 12-24 etc, but I just love mine and the job it does for me.
Happy to snap a few brick walls tomorrow if helpful and to add to Jon's contribution. I suspect this lens shows a bit of variability between copies...

I know the lens, its strengths and weaknesses. I have it and the 12-24 as well. I just want to benchmark its edge/corner sharpness because I slipped on a wet rock recently and bashed it so I fear I have decentred it. All assistance is appreciated.

I dont own DA12-24, but my DA15 is certainly very sharp in the corners....maybe there is a variation in Limited lenses or soft corners are just another urban myth....my sample is sharp across the frame

There's ten shots at various apertures on my Flickr account now, all full-size jpegs shot at ISO 80, converted from RAW with no editing at all. They're the 10 most recent pics so should be easy enough to find. Afraid it's breeze-block rather than bricks, they don't use bricks here. I thought I shot one at f4, but it looks like f4.5 was the widest.

Try telling my lens it's an urban myth....Personally, I've yet to meet an owner who didn't talk about this lens being soft at the corners. If yours isn't either you are a very lucky bunny or you're not looking at full-sized images.

Thanks Jon, downloaded. Your bottom corners, particularly right are softer than the top which are pretty good.
