A fun day out

Went to the Woodvale Rally on Sunday. A strange gathering of car entusiasts, model aircraft enthusiats, car boot sale and fairground. But fun day.

Here are a few shots. I know the wall of death aren't as sharp as they could be, but, to be fair, the guy wouldn't stop for me to take his photo!!

The wall of death ones look sharp enough to me, getting the rider sharp must have been a nightmare, but worth it.

Why do stationary engine owners always look so 'happy'?

I had hoped to get the rider a little sharper, there is still some motion blur visible. But yes, it was a right pig to get those!

As for the engine owner...he does look a cheerful chap doesn't he? That's why I couldn't resist zooming out and including him in the shot

I rather like the engine owner shot! Great expression and pose, and I love the 'Stuart' . Have you considered cropping off the entire left half and leaving a portrait orientation shot concentrating on him?

Thanks Tim. I hadn't considered that crop. I suppose I was blinkered as my initial aim was to photograph the engine. Holding a piece of paper over the screen ( I'm in work now ), makes me think you are right.

Lovely machines, well captured Fr Ted. 'Stuart Little' looks like he's a bit of a character!
