Just did this to see what results i'd get with the inverted dome flash diffuser i bought, was not too bad i thought....What do you think?

This was direct flash with a diffuser? Looks very good to me!

Very nice even lighting and sharp too. I never use flash for close-ups...perhaps I should give it a try if this is what you can do!

Flashgun was at about 45 degrees, from what i gather the point of the inverted dome diffusers are to bounce off the dome and dispurse the light then back down and out through the sides, i've tried it directly at the subject and also at 90 degrees, 90 degrees was a bit softer and direct was just too much, 45 gave a nice even distribution i found.

It can, but then it does all depend on what angle your flash gun is at really, i'll try and get set up later and take a few alternatives to post, thats if people are interested in this of course
