Making the best of the strong sunlight with some of these Joe, particularly like the simplicity of "A Patch Of Springtime" - Nice shooting

3, 7 and 8 seem over-processed for my taste, but I quite like the others (although 1 doesn't need the odd bit of flower on the right).

Nice set. Although I agree about a bit over-processing, I actually like no 7 very much!

I like 'em - even the 'differently processed' ones.

thanks for comments, 1, 4, 7, and 8 all "solarised". Personally quite happy with1 and 7 reasonably so about 4 but must admit 8 did not go quite to plan . Butterfly is a Small White i believe no orange tips on wings.

No orange tip on the wings of a female Orange Tip, either. Only the male has the orange tip. It looks like yours has a mottled pattern on the outer wing surface (i.e. under the wing when outstretched), characteristic of a female Orange Tip. Here's one that's definitely a female Orange Tip - confirmed by an expert friend because I wasn't sure what it was .

I think I shall put some tubes on my 105mm and see what happens. These are lovely - especially the bluebell..

as i said David i put it on to enable me to use Catch in Focus as there was quite a strong breeze blowing stuff around. I thought switching the lens into MF mode with camera in AF would have done it but that didn't work as it does with an actual MF lens.

I like no.5 and 6
5 for the way it stands proud and is a big hit of colour and 6 for that dark moody abstract look
