Well that was a productive walk. Cracking set hard to pick a fav, as you caught the light and shade so well on all. But I'll go for 3 just for its abstractness and textures 👍🏻
I know what i like, If not always why.

A good play with light and shadow! What is fun with this sort of thing is how the DR exceeds our sensors, so exposing for the highlights knocks out all the tangle and messy distractions in behind. I know now where I should be heading when I get some free time!

Nice set... 2 and particularly 3 for me... quite unexpected in terms of abstract-ness...

thanks for looking and commnts. it was great under the shade of the canopy with a gentle breeze blowing through. you are right Nigel as usually i find woods very hard to work with but watching various youtube videos has given me more of an idea how to get someting out of them. Bill, the shadow patterns created on the tree trunk just caught my eye but after processing in Silver Efex i see a face smiliing at top right and a more sinister one top left in the shadow of course it could all be my imagination but that's the fun seeing something that is not actually there.

As with ChrisM's balanced flash portraits, shady woodland and bright sun is so difficult to deal with. You've done a good job, and even made a feature of it with "Solarised Leaves" My favourite is "Shadowplay by Nature" - good range of tones plus an abstract feel
