Well I'm happy with my K20!....I never need ultra fast focussing or ultra fast shutter speeds, I suppose it boils down to what you need from your camera, along with learning to utilise what you've got!.My friend has a top of the range Nikon but his shots aren't any better than mine,I myself think that we depend to much on new fangled gismo's,and we should really push our camera's to the limit to see what we can achieve,to me that's photography!.........

Why are people expecting their camera to focus for them? Where's the fun in that?
Listen to my albums free on BandCamp. Or visit my main website for links to photography, etc.

Have you tried trying to lock a focus on a moving subject? Or trying to get a sequence of shots of a subject running towards you for example?
That's where in my opinion a fast focus lock would be handy. I get the fun out of it when I am able to do that.

I enjoy manually focusing where its more convenient, many of my macro attempts are focused manually.

But hey, I am just a newbie, what do I know? For all what is worth I might just be talking nonsense

Indeed, but don't worry because improvers can still talk nonsense

Mike that really is a double thumbs up , that really puts me very much comfortable then. It was going to be a heavy mantle to put on my shoulders what Terry gave me, but knowing nonsense is allowed from an improver then I definitely can relax more

I guess I am simply saying that I never expected the camera to work miracles the photographer cannot. Others have different expectations, no doubt.
