A few months back I had the idea to take some shots with my K10D and a IR filter from my P-system.
As you probably guessed - it never worked out very well
The K10D sure seems to block all IR light.

The *istDS worked well enough for IR, but the K10D has a much stronger filter and is not good for the purpose.

i think its possible with patience, I found this one on flickr, 5 minutes exposure. I really like it, probably a rock solid tripod used too. As far as i can tell this was taken in a K10d not modified.

The alternative to moving the sensor is to use an old manual lens which has a small red mark on the focusing barrel which is the offset for using IR. It appears on Super Takumar, Takumar, M and A series lenses. I don't have any F/FA/FAJ lenses to check...

5 Mins exposure - sure is a long time. Very creative image though.
