Nope not yet - but then the automated mail I had suggested it would be around mid-January. I'm just sitting patiently for now, with any luck it'll arrive at the same time as my £30 DA50-200 from Jessops...

I'm the wrong side of the Atlantic until the 11th Jan. Hoping the flash and the lens will be waiting for me on my return...

DVDLegacy has disappeared of the face of ebay.

No longer are they registered members, so looks like those brave (read: daft) enough to part with our cash need to open disputes with paypal.

I have contact details for dvdlegacy who are based in quebec, but i don't expect much of a response to emails.

have a phone number too, but yet to try it....

I have just spoken to ebay.

eBay removed the user account DVDLegacy, and all of the listings that they had. They tell me they are unable to disclose why the account was removed, but that i might still receive the item (fat chance!)

they have advised that i may like to wait a few days to see if the item arrives, but since the listing was forcibly removed by eBay, pay pal should refund the payment without any problem at all.

In an email from ebay they said:
"However, due to the circumstances that led to your seller's change in status, we no longer recommend any attempts to contact the seller directly."

read into that what you will....

I would get my Paypal dispute in pretty quickly before others start doing the same.
Not a chance I would be waiting for delivery now.

Oh well, you win some you lose some and I haven't lost all hope of it turning up just yet - think I'll wait a couple of weeks and see what the postman brings (or not as the case may be).

As I found out to my cost, the PayPal buyer protection isn't actually worth the paper it's written on. Seems they protect you up to the amount left in the particular account. So in my case when I was ripped off for over 200 quid, I shared 17 quid with another chap that was similarly shafted by an unscripulous seller.

Classic case of buyer beware. Ebay and PayPal are at best good at marketing, not at giving a flying fig about their punters.

My package finally arrived this morning - I think they're just sending out whatever was left in their office before they did a bunk.

In the lucky dip I got: A packet of Multipurpose Labels (red) for a Dymo LabelWriter!

I've filed a claim with PayPal but I don't expect to see my money again. Still, I have some nice red sticky labels to plaster on things instead. Caveat emptor and all that...

Put the labels back on E-bay and see what you get for them.
Why would they bother sending anything at all : or maybe they thought you wouldn't notice

I realised as soon as I saw the packet there was no flash inside, so I was feeling it and trying to guess what it was they *did* send. I'd have never have got that though.

Still, the way I see it I'm now sorted for Christmas Gift Tags for life!
