This is a great tool for accurately setting white balance. If you go for it, don't make the same mistake I did by buying a small one. Buy the 77mm (it'll fit most lenses currently available) and use cheap step down rings for lenses with smaller than 77mm filter threads.
It's a good idea, but.....

You have to admire the nerve of people who can charge half the price of a camera for a piece of plastic. I'm sticking to my trusty piece of A4 paper.

But it does have an anodised aluminium mount and a tasteful blue nylon lanyard George, and a quick release clasp too.

I have to concede that it lacks those vital accoutrements.

But with paper you can adjust the white balance. If I need a slightly warmer white I scribble on the paper with a blue pencil. Works a treat.

I thought of that little wheeze all by myself. Normally Don is the man for ingenious low-cost solutions to a problem.

But surely, once you adjusted your piece of paper once, it's useless.

Ah, but I had a thought, a piece of paper has two sides doesn't it so you could use the other side if you wanted a cooler effect.

Damn, now it really is useless for white balance. There's a job here for Don after all, we need a three sided piece of paper to resolve this.

Don . . . Don . . . never around when you really need him.

Just buy a damn notepad.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

I wish I was as innovative as you, Don. There was me thinking we had a serious problem, and there you are with an answer already, and so simple too. Um, do they make notepads without lines ?

I'm only interested for George really 'cause he only has a piece of paper (did you know he used to claim to be a gear freak?, a sheet of A4 paper is hardly gear, is it?). I'm OK 'cause I've got a really expensive piece of plastic that does the same thing. I have to concede that it's not adjustable in the same way George's 'gear' is though. Well, only in size . . .
