Just something obvious strikes me, it doesn't have SR.
Do you think that's a big disadvantage?

Perhaps the CCD is too large for SR to be effective. For medium format, we've managed without SR and the cameras are inherently more stable.

Japan only at the moment, The sooner it comes to blighty the better. Now start saving.
I hope the lens range becomes more extensive soon too, as only a 55mm to start with (only an effective 32mm in 35mm terms) is not much.
Still, I WANT ONE.

It seems btw that Pentax is using a new viewfinder or not?
It looks the same as the original 645 viewfinder. It is an unusual design, very low profile with a long telescopic eyepiece.

Oh really why the patent then?
It's indeed a low design compared to the rest, it's in par with FF cameras besides the depth.

No idea, Stefan. Perhaps there is a critical modification in it?

Could be that they have found a way to make it smaller. I wonder if they could use it for the APS-C sensor as well.

Interesting that the new lens will cover 645 film as well.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

dynamic range : "11.5f - stops" !!!!!
is that right ?
Not a mathematical equation style multiply symbol but a decimal point ????
one has to be a bit wary of japlish, but .... WOW
