50-135 DA* sample pictures

Ned Bunnell has posted some sample pictures take with this lens here http://nedbunnell.blogspot.com/2007/03/test-photos.html. Note that they were taken with a pre-production lens, but they look fine to me (and please don't mention the sharpness!)

My opinion is that they look rather dull and could have been taken with anything. There's nothing there that would make me say "Wow!" and want to rush out and buy the lens.

Of course, that doesn't mean it isn't a terrfic lens, just that I'm not impressed by these particular pictures.

You're not going to be able to judge a lens by looking at jpegs on the Internet. You need to look at RAW files at 100%.

agreed, best you can get off the net is someone else's subjective opinion of how the original files looked, plus MTF tests and the like which we all know are to be taken with a small salt mine.
