The effective aperture changes as you zoom, for the usual reasons, but you can't change the aperture.
thoramay, if you decide you don't want it drop me a PM with a price please...

I honestly have little idea as they are so rarely offered. Therew as one on eBay a while ago that went for around £250 if I remember correctly, but it will depend very much on the condition.
Be careful that you try it before you buy it as mirror lenses can be easily knocked out of alignment by rough handling.

Hi Guys. Just to let you know that the lens is in mint condition with all its filters intact and in a black case.
I have yet to put it in my K10 but will do so.
If I can crack how to put photos on the thread I will do so but it looks to be a cracking copy.
With this is amint copy of tamron 80-210 with a pka adapter.
also a tackumar 28-80 in pentax mount
A pentax A 1.7 50mm
A Cosina 24mm 2.8
A pentax M 40mm 2.8
a Takumar 2x tele converter F system
A Tamon adaptal 2 custom mount.
ME super with a motor drive
Sunpack auto zoom 2400
plus a few other bits.
with the exception of the ME super all the kit is in mint condition and does not show any sign of use at all.
Could be my lucky day, don't you think

I have been tempted to sell my 400-600 at times as it does not get much use, but then something comes along and I use it.
I have had mine since 1984 and it too is mint with the rear filter set and case.
I have been offered £500 for mine and if had wanted to could have pushed higher.
If you like the price - go for it as you will always find someone else willing to but it later.
