4 Woodland Images

Popped to a woods not to far away from me to stop the rot of not picking up the camera in a while. A few trees I wanted to shoot I couldn't reach due to surface water from the rain we have had, some of which was nearly a meter deep in places. Tried to make some sense in the chaos there.

Excellent stuff, what I like is that as well as the strong visual impact, these tell of the chaos over the past few weeks.

Really like these Gareth. Number 1 is my favourite closely followed by number 4 with the moss covered branches and composition drawing me into the image.

Where to start? They all work so well. Richard C says it all. Excellent work, Gareth, as always.
Be well, stay safe, but most of all, invest in memories

Lovely almost carboniferous images Gareth,

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!

The 'sense' you have made of it is a wonderful collection of shapes that are almost joyous to look at despite them underlining the need for some serious TLC in there.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Great "look" - almost like swamps in horror films

Thanks all! It certainly was hard trying to find compositions there. I feel a return leg coming on and exploring further into the wood!

I'm waiting for there to be a nice sharp frost here, that'll look ace!
