4 day old Valentine's lillies

Not my usual thing but as I had flowers in the house I fooled around with a few shots.

(Fellow LBA suffers may be interested to know that shot 1 is a Pentax-A 50mm f1/.7 and shot 2 is a Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 CF. Both wide open, and both at minimum focus distance.)

From a non-photography perspective:

Why are the stamens and anthers still there? That pollen will stain carpets, clothes, table cloths &c.

Tell your wife to cut them out unless she wants to try and clean te stains.

These are the ones that were closed green buds 4 days ago, but have opened in the last day or two. I had considered taking a photo 4 days ago but the florist had cut off the stamens and anthers of all the open ones! So I had to wait for these

Personally I find al the compositions to be muddled and lacking a clear focus for attention - even the first one where I feel you need to fiddle with something to separate the stamens (?) from the background. I think if you can you need to make the red richer to jump at you more.
