Anyone know how long the Sigma guarantee is?
12 months but you can register online and increase that to 3 years for no extra cost. Depends when you purchased it really although the extra 2 years has been going on for a while now (you have to register it within the first 30 days if I remember correctly).

Well, it's my Dad's and I'm not 100% sure when he bought it! Will ask later. It exhibits the same faults on his K-7. I'm pretty sure it's under 12 months old but he's definitely had it for more than 30 days.

I've tried updating the K-m firmware but no change. The DA 35/2.4 (which I keep on the camera) snaps into focus and locks on every time in the same lighting conditions.

AFAIK, for the 1st owner from new and if the lens is registered with Sigma UK within 30 days of purchase in the UK, then there is a 3yr warrantee - otherwise it is one year or whatever applies in the country from which it was bought (at least within the EU).
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

Is there an echo in here?

Is there an echo in here? [/quote]Yes - but I was composing my reply whilst the other reply was being composed, so neither of us knew that the other was going to provide essentially the same answer! He just beat me to posting - otherwise you would have posted the comment against his!

Totally lost me now.

Anyway, I once did a stacked converter shot .. Sigma 2x and Tamron 1.4x on a Pentax K10D/Pentax F* 300mm f4.

Handheld at approx 840mm

Ive just seen a 2x lens converter on ebay. Just wondered if anybody uses these and if the picture quality drops when using these.Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave.
I use a Pentax rear converter A 2x-s with a Pentax 50 to 200 A/F lens and a Pentax A 70 to 210 with good results with a K10D set on manual focus. Used for cricket action shots, weather permitting.
