I decided to go for long photo walk on Thursday.
Left house at 5pm and came back at 11pm. Walked through south east London (Catford, Lewisham, Greenwich, Woolwich) all the way to Thames barrier and back via Woolwich & Blackheath.
Here are two shots from the outing:

"Canary Wharf and O2 arena"

"Thames barrier HDR"

Thanks for looking

Both nice shots although I like the Thames barrier one slightly more. They both seem to have a bit too much of a blue cast although that may be my dodgy monitor!

Best wishes, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I really like the Thames barrier hdr but the out of focus background (buildings) in the first one spoils it for me: I don't think the foreground is strong enough for it. Also agree with womble, they both seem a bit blue.

Agreed they both look blue, of the two I prefer the second one.

Hi - Just a thought about the blues, what white balance setting did you have in camera?
Regards
David

Retired at last - now all that time for photography - you would think: wink:

thanks for comments guys,
They are on the blue side. It was weird light and not nice evening at that time, the colour as seen would have been much more grey/magenta....
I'll see what I can do with it

Thanks

I like the second one a lot, but perhaps crop out the rocks at the bottom?

The first one's okay, but all the interesting bits are too far away

Some walk you had, Peter.

Like your photo of the Barrier. Impressive construction - I once saw it in operation, shutting off the river (while I was installing a VTS system on top of the old factory just downstream).
Best regards
