Have a look in http://www.pentaximaging.com/customer_care but I don't think you can download the original software, only updates.
You can always download the free version of Silkypix which will get you started (the Pentax software uses a version of the Silkypix engine).

You can download the software and firmware 9camera) updates from here
http://www.pentax.jp/english/support/download_digital.html
However, there are other products around for both storing your photos and for raw conversion/editing, other than the software that Pentax provide.
I use Photoshop Elements for storing and Silkypix for raw conversion. i dont use the pentax supplied software at all.

LW, for the cost of postage I can send you a copy of Pentax software on CD. Let me know your address via Personal Message if interested.
Pentax Lab isn't much good in my opinion, but Pentax Browser is quite handy - for the Exif info at least. Not all other viewers display the same info, eg. model of lens.

Pentax Lab is very basic in what it allows you to do. It does have one feature which I miss though.
In Pentax Lab you can draw a line along the horizon and it will rotate the image for you to get that horizon level. This is a very simple solution to a common problem, and I haven't seen it done this way in any other program. Not even the much beloved Silkypix.

Adobe Lightroom does it, Adobe camera Raw does it. Even Bibble Pro does it.

In Silkypix, bring up the Rotation/Digital shift window and look for the triangular-shape thing towards the top right. This is an icon. Click it! It is the Rotation tool that lets you draw a line, etc. It works in the vertical as well as horizontal plane.
Must admit I forgot all about it myself. Your post reminded me of it.

It costs $149. That was a lot of money for me (I rarely buy any software at all), but I don't regret a penny of it.

The Lang Toun o' Kirkcaldy,

I've recently purchased a used 1st DL2 without the original SOFTWARE CD-ROM, S-SW34.
Can anyone advise as to where I can obtain one of these.
