100 Colours of Q10

I see that in some territories there are now to be 100 colour options for the Q10.

That's interesting and if it increases the appeal of the product to a new audience it has to be a good thing.

There's nothing new in customised cameras, although Kodak limited themselves to things like Art Deco, Scout and Girl Guide versions of some Brownie cameras. Things have clearly moved on.

I'm still curious to know whether some rich collector somewhere has actually ordered all 100 variants. Anyone here care to own up to that?

I think there was a Pentax Museum once but it closed. There also used to be a Pentax Gallery in London.

I visited the latter once but was very disappointed at the actual quality of the originals produced by some very famous names. I wasn't impressewd and the rather snotty lady in the gallery wasn't impressed that I wasn't impressed. We got on really well....

I also saw a David Bailey show in Aberystwyth and was disappointed at the quality of the prints.

You can have any colour covering you want for your Q, there are suppliers in Japan that will send you very accurately pre-cut skins.

It's not a new idea I had a Pentax ME Super with snakeskin skins way back in the late seventies.

The idea is still around
