then you probably are using tiff's in 16 bit colour. You need to covert it to 8 bit colour first before you can save it as a JPEG.

When I open a tiff file in CS2 and go 'save as' it only gives me the options of file types:
PSD
PDD
CIN
PSB
PDF
PDP
RAW
PNG
TIFF
the reason I want to do this is make up an 'ACTION' to convert tiff files to jpeg files at 300 dpi with a file size no larger than 1MB
hope this makes sense and someone can help me?
