*ist photo modes

Hi - recently purchased the *ist unit. Whenever I press the shutter release half way and the unit focus's the picture mode changes from multi, to single, to double to timer and so on - as if pressing the button under the display that changes the mode.

Is this a fault or is it the way I have the camera setup?

Hi,

I assume that you refer to the *ist film camera. I have this camera and I'm not aware of any mode which sould cause this. I suspect that you may have a faulty camera.

It might be worth replacing the batteries and reseting all the custom functions to default to see if this fixes things.
