There's no harm in putting a 133x card in the camera.
However, the speed the camera writes will almost certainly be slower - it depends on the internal processor speed of the camera, plus the firmware revision etc, etc. You'll just have to try it

I was almost sure of this lol ))
I hoped that someone was able to say:
"With this firmware your camera will be able to write at 15MB"
or something like:
"don't spend money for a 133x 'cause "ist ds" is not able to write faster than 66x" or also less .....
Thank anyway for the answer,
Lorenzo

Perhaps Pentax could provide the specific answer for you?

I'm going to buy a DS and I have also to buy a SD card.
I saw Kingston made a 133x Card ... that is able to write at 20MB/s.
This would be great if Pentax "ist DS" would be able to write at this speed.
I tried to look around, but I was not able to find any information about the max writing speed of this camera.
Could someone help me?
thx
