Something like the AF280T should fit the bill, presuming you can work around the fact it doesn't have pTTL auto. It does have old-style auto mode though, using a little light sensor on the front.

I am wondering, why does the tokina look old. I also have the 80-200 at-x pro and hoping to upgrade to the K5 or FF if it ever comes. Wondering why it is making you say it looks old? Is the resolution too low, is the sensor better than the lens?

To be honest, this whole high-ISO issue seems to vary from body to body... I'm convinced that some of them are just off a bad batch, mine being one of them lol. Could also be due to revisions in the sensor as well, and I might just have an early one.

The Sony A77 has a 24mp sensor. Pentax also brought out a gimmicky camera once:D, it was called the ME super, Olympus followed suit with the Om30, neither was any better than what was currently available in the SLR market, and the Sony A77 is just another Sony:wink::lol::lol::lol:
