Back to basics
Late to this discussion and little to add that George has not already said. I just shot my first film in 20 years, but it was 645, the minimum I would consider is worth doing as a step up from digital. And that's only because I cannot afford the equivalent digital setup, not because film is somehow ...

Kris, you forgot to post me the film you offered me :) Not forgotten, just a very manic week at the start of term... I'll get it in the post when I get the chance. K.

You'll only be able to use Kodachrome until the end of the year. Then it will be no more than a footnote in photographic history. K.

. I should probably declare my slight vested interest in you not using Kodachrome, of course :) :) Chris, not to worry, our deal is sealed. When I use kodachrome it will simply for prints :) No, you misunderstand slightly - I probably haven't been clear. I can scan Kodachrome. It's just a lit...

Processing
I suspect that the type of kit that Jessops and others have for on the spot processing and printing is set up to interpolate the image it sees and make the best of it - ie if you put a B & W colour process film through where you have used no filter/yellow/orange/red/green for the same shot, you'd e...

Any P30 fans here ?
Iīve got a P30T as a former backup for my ME. I never enjoyed to work with this plasic thing. Technical it isnīt worse in comp. to the ME - just the feeling! I canīt sell the P30T, because nobody wants one. :( To be honest, the focus screen in the P30T is the only bad thing about the camera! Try ...

Super A and LX...
Hi Everyone, I just wondered if anyone would like a fully working Super A or a faulty LX to play with? Super A - Includes the 'rare' Digital Data M back on it and has a couple of new batteries. The foam is ok - Ģ20 delivered. The camera is in pretty good condition, the back has some paint miss...

Which flash for MX?
By the way, Boz's site (the one I linked to), whilst generally excellent, and the bible for all Pentax buyers, is not infallible. In particular, the information on the Auto-Focus flash page is misleading. Any flashgun on that page should work in manual mode with an older body like the MX, despit...

Pentax SFX battery?
I bought one for my SFXn a couple of weeks back. 2CR5 battery as stated. I believe you could get an alternative battery holder for them that took AA batteries instead? That may be a route to a rechargeable option. May find one on Ebay? Failing that this site might be worth a look: No connection...

Pentax MV 1
Out of pure sentiment I have just had my original 50mm f/2 lens serviced. I spilt something sticky on the aperture ring some 20 years ago (?beer) and since then it has been acting as a rather bulky body cap. I went out today with an ME Super (not my original, sadly) and the F2 lens and yet another...

Getting a ME Super serviced?
I can vouch for Asahi photo too. They fixed a few issues on my SFXn a few years back and turned it round very quickly for very reasonable money. Kevin

case for ME super & M40 pancake ?
I'm pretty sure there was an ERC for the MX plus 40, or rather a replacement front, but I have never seen one. Do you mean this one? (Please excuse the awful shots taken quickly on the end of my bed...) I can confirm that (a) it seems to be unusual. I have only seen one on ebay and...
