katzeye for sale
As far as I know it is quite easy to do. I got it with my camera, the previous owner had put the original screen back into the camera when he sold it to me. The Katz Eye website has a pdf with instructions that can be downloaded. There are also You tube videos that explain how to do it. I think ...

FS. K7 and Lenses
After much head scratching I've come to the conclusion that running two systems does not work :( therefore my return to being a Pentax user has been fairly brief. Bought the K7 on here from a long standing member back in September last year, shutter count is 3407 (obtained via Photome) still in supe...

FS: Pentax K10d body and kit lens
Hi, Time for an upgrade so selling my trusty K10D. I have owned this camera from new for just under 3 years. There are 22030 shutter actuations to date. The camera is in superb condition as I have always been quite precious with all my equipment. Cosmetically it is unscratched and with very...

Possibly WTB Bigma
The DG version will produce a smaller image circle... hmmmm... not sure about that, as far as I understand "DG" means full-frame compatible in Sigma-speak. The only difference between the EX DG and non-DG versions, apart from the look, might be an additional coating on the rear element to avoid re...

Wanted: Macro Lens
I had thought about the Vivitar Series 1 105mm and I've spoken to a guy over at PentaxForums about one he has on sale albeit from the US, I had really wondered if there were cheaper manual options than that. The Vivitar 100/3.5 Macro I referenced above is the cheaper option. Make sure you get the ol...

WTB: Tamron 90 f2.5 & PKA Ring
So is it the 2.8 or the 2.5? In your original post you said 'Manual' which i thought meant manual focus. That suggests the 2.5 to me... I thought the 2.8s were auto focus.

Pentax FA* 300 f/4.5 ED [IF] 300mm
Thanks for the info - that's very helpful. Sounds like it may be a hassle to have it fixed - for comparison's sake I've returned, at the beginning of January, to the Pentax repair center here in France a DA* 55 who couldn't focus to infinity anymore, and they're still waiting for a part, and are un...

DA* 16-50mm arrived safely and very well packed! I can't get over the autofocus speed of this lens. I've not made any objective measurements, but it seems significantly faster than the SDMs on the 50-135 or the 17-70. Cheers, Paul It has a very short focus throw, about 1/6th of a turn.

Oh and on dual drive lenses SDM is slower than the screw drive. Though presumably that's just an academic distinction. Or is there some way of selecting focus method that I've not come across? (And, given that we seem to be straying away from act of buying the lens, feel free to reply in a differe...
