Pentax-F 1.7X AF ADAPTER
I just snared one of these off E-bay, The seller had 2 SFXn cameras + 2 lenses SMC F 70-210 and an SMC F 28-80 + a Metz flash. He never mentioned the the AF 1.7x adapter. When I saw the somewhat blurry pic I suspected it was the 1.7X adapter, so I bid on it, and won it as the only bidder, got the lo...

Pentax-F 1.7X AF ADAPTER
I am planning to give it a go on my DA*300  I don't think that particular TC is SDM compatible. I may be wrong though. Mike, You mean the SMC Pentax-F 1.7X AF ADAPTER? If it is this one then there are some who have been using it with the DA*300. They just put the lens to M and let the adap...

Pentax-F 1.7X AF ADAPTER
Amin, I'll let you know this afternoon. I only ever tried it with a 50mm lens for about an hour, so it is mint and the case is mint. I didn't keep the box and don't know where the leaflet is (but that can be printed from the PDF). I've just tried looking through the 400mm on the K10 and the viewf...

100mm Macro and other bits on eBay
Hefty, I thought you just recently auctioned that MZ5n and the FA 28-70 f/4 lens. Is this another one you have :?: These are a different two - the last one was an MZ-5n, this is an MZ-5 with a data back. The FA28-70 that came with the latest one isn't quite as nice as the previous one (which was min...

100mm Macro and other bits on eBay
It's very difficult seeing what your copying with a slide because the mount just shows up as pure black. It's the M bellows that I've got and I find it easier to just hold the slide in front of the camera and bellows, move it back and forth until it's in focus and then try and put the carrier there....

100mm Macro and other bits on eBay
Well between this thread and some Googling I've learnt quite a bit today :D I think I'm leaning more and more towards an E-Rokkor. Four element design but seems to get glowing reviews from users and it's a *lot* cheaper than any of the six element stuff I've come across. If the focal length works...

100mm Macro and other bits on eBay
Nope, you haven't misunderstood and I'm not sure I entirely understand the physics but casual observations made today seems to imply a slightly longer lens is the way to go. Focal length changes *a lot* when focussing at those sorts of distances and to get the 35mm to focus it had to be virtually...

100mm Macro and other bits on eBay
I had a couple of 75mm's I was watching that finished today, unfortunately I've been out since early morning and I've only just got back so I've missed them. I had spotted the Nikon but ruled it out due to the (a) price and (b) number of others who seem to be interested in it. Still have a couple...

Extension tube set on eBay
I've been using them with my ist DL2 for a while - so not a K10, but I imagine they would behave in exactly the same way ~ Procedure is - Set aperture ring on lens, Focus lens, Camera on manual, AE-L button to take a meter reading, Shutter. As they're manual, theres sometimes a little exp...

Pentax 100-300mm and Sigma 70-300mm
Its got a big manual focus ring at the front and is quite 'grippy' so no slippage as far as I've ever noticed.

Pentax 100-300mm and Sigma 70-300mm
It's not power zoom Shim. My old 70-200 was a power zoom (jeeze back on my old Z10!) but the 100-300 is just a manual zoom. :)
