IT's BACK at LAST K20D ***FOR SALE***

Phoned the local branch to be told as it was bought over 28 days ago they don`t have to replace it they can send it for repair, [ which would take several weeks meaning I would miss most of the best weather for taking photo`s and frankly I don`t see why I should miss two months of warranty time and ...

Jackie H, what happened to the Pentax K20D? You say you will be without a camera?

IT's BACK at LAST K20D ***FOR SALE***

[quote:3496ace15f="johnriley"]Now it's back, why not use it? You're part of a great community here as well and it would seem a pity to lose you to some other place. After all, there's nothing wrong with a K20D and the Pentax lenses are superb, so why change? Probably because he's sold all his len...

IT's BACK at LAST K20D ***FOR SALE***

Jackie, it's not clear..... have you re-posted someone else's experience or is it you that has bought a D40 (can't be you have a K20D). Anyone sending stuff for repair you need to emphasize that the summer (which you bought the camera for) will be almost over by the time you get it back and you w...

IT's BACK at LAST K20D ***FOR SALE***

I read it on another forum and thought of TTK so asked if I could cross post. It was just to show it is not only Pentax that take 8 weeks to repair, Nikon are quoting 8 weeks on a camera that is not yet 6 weeks old.

Jackie H, what happened to the Pentax K20D? You say you will be without a camera? Not me John it was cross posted the original writer was the disgruntled owner of a new Nikon, was trying to point out that it happens to other makes as well as us and 8 weeks seems to be the time that camera manufactur...

Suitable bag to carry K20 with DA*60-250

I know this is a well debated and discussed subject, and I come back to it after having already 2 bags and each one for different purposes. Started with the Kata 3N1-20 which I loved and still love it, its just so nicely and supremely disigned, but then when I acquired the DA*300 I had to get someth...

Suitable bag to carry K20 with DA*60-250

If I use a backpack, I use a LowePro Flipside 300 which I found easier to use than the Kata 3in1 series. To access the camera quickly you just slide the bag around your waist and it opens from the reverse (back) side, very easy to use in practice, it actually stays in position on your waist in front...

What will you pay for a New K7D then.

Personally I have been fairly confused by Pentax pricing lately. Some lenses appear too high, whilst I have thought for some time that Pentax have been seriously underpricing the K20D by at least £100-150 and maybe more. I was rather taken back to see the 60-250mm f4 is actually cheaper here than ...

What will you pay for a New K7D then.

There are already bits about it that I don't like, if the images we've seen of it are correct. Why mix those important 4 buttons up? Crazy idea. The K-M also have such kind of 4 way button, don't know preciesly how it works though. I believe that when the camera is in shooting mode that they are a ...

What will you pay for a New K7D then.

You've seen the wedding photos on the demo album then!? Yeah. They were "ho hum" ok. But there was a shot of guys on a rock - the bloke on the far left is so fuzzed by the lens he looks like he's just been beamed down from the USS Enterprise  And going back to the original question... I'm w...

Ebay changes, again

To be honest I use an auto bidder which tells me if I have won, if it doesn't report back then I rarely check to see who did get it.

Ebay changes, again

I think I know why they've done it. In the recent scam that I almost lost the £410 I'd paid for a GX20, the people who set up the action group were able to contact and bring together about 600 people who'd been scammed by going back over the auctions archived on Google's cache system (ebay delete st...

New Sony Alpha's DSLR's

I would love a swivel screen and flawless live view, I only use one focus point and is ISO 6400 really useable on the K20D? Maybe I should buy a Sony  Naaa, don't fancy one.

New Sony Alpha's DSLR's

We are all different of course; but yes I personally would rather have the option of ISO 6400. Some work posted on this community at 6400 has'nt been bad at all. It could make all the difference in some situations. I use all my focus points (give me more!!!) And I'm very happy with Live View on t...

New Sony Alpha's DSLR's

I use all my focus points (give me more!!!) And I'm very happy with Live View on the K20D to be honest. From the looks of it you aren't getting more .. however the liveview could well be better.

New Pentax for FI!!!

When you order a camera they should send out the charger and a battery before you get the camera itself ;-) When I bought my K20D I allso bought a charger which can be used in the car so I charged the battery during the 1,5 hour drive back home :) and I could start playing when I got home.
