Wow...there sure seems to be a lot of confusions by the newer judges on how to post comments and pick "second and third" place winners.
I do not really understand why this is so, when they won, did not they see the "others" whom competed with them.
I PM the judge of the comp......NIGHT SHOT...two weeks ago, and he said he never understood he was expected to comment at all...and when he won, there were no comments.
I looked and the comp he won , it was well done with comments on all photos....yet he missed seeing it, somehow?
For me, the beauty of entering the comps, is not just the hope of winning, but it is to have my photo critique and to learn to see my photo through the eyes of another, to share my perspective of the topic through my photo.
With all that said...I LOVE THE WAY DAVID JUST POSTED THE RULES!!! WAY TO GO...lets take up the banner, and post David's addition, letting the winner know that he will be expected to judge all entries.
Best Regards

Great shot David, worthy winner, so a hearty congratulations. Intriguing photo. Thanks camramadbob for an interesting topic and for judging on this one. Initially seemed so mundane a subject, but has proved most interesting, and a a lot of variety and interpretations here.
