Quirky…horizontals…verticals… intrusive foreground... go figure! I love the bravery of the framing. To use a technical phrase it give the “what the ****?" effect that draws you into the image
• Background
I would love to see this at full resolution – the in and out clarity adds to the curvy wigglyness
• Technical
Nicely done in landscape mode for DoF
• Craftsmanship
The thought on the overall composition shows a very keen eye and ability
• Personal Feelings
I could look at this image for hours. Could be remake of ‘Thelma and Louise” – Darlene and K-m! Could it be crisper? Maybe but I don’t care, I LOVE IT!! Carry on breaking the rules!!

I liked your point system, used a similar prototype myself when judging the Mystery Macro comp. One sure learns a lot when judging, uh?

What a super competition with an extremely high class of entry. Full marks to John for his choice of subject and imaginative method of judging. Congrats also not only to Darlene on a great winner but to all the entrants. I'm as sick a a chip, I had an entry and accidentally submitted the wrong one and had to delete it. I just wish I had been part of this competition.
