An image that can be described as Vintage please. It could be the image itself, such as a portrait shot in a vintage style, or an object that is vintage (old) such as an artifact, clothing, furnishings, building interiors, a collection. Anything clearly old. I'm looking forward to seeing what will turn up! Usuak rules apply and being a weekly competition images can be new or old. Pentax kit for body or lens or both please. |

We start off with modern vintage with the Vintage Technology presented by kasperbergholt. This is interesting and board reminds me of an aerial view of a modern city. It's great, but I think with a few tweaks it could be even better. The black triangle top left isn't needed, so a bigger back ground would solve that. Then more corner to corner sharpness, so definitely a sturdy tripod and a small aperture. Monochrome is an excellent choice.
Davidwozhere has gone for the oblique view of his folder, and that works very well. I do find the busy background to be a little obtrusive, but otherwise a sound interpretation of the theme of the competition with another interesting subject.
MHOL190246 has photographed the classic deHaviland Vampire very well, and it's another great subject full of interest.
Still Beautiful by Klara calls on the beauty of nature and how it keeps that beauty as it decays. The very bright background overwhelms the subject a bit so it doesn't shine as much as it might.
Vintage Transport by GRAHAM_A_E hits the spot with a nicely worked image. Excellent choice of toning.
Old School Driving by stephen-s evokes a world long gone, a world of Bedford delivery lorries and vans, of coal merchants....it is also a splendidly dark shot, another way of reflecting the times.
500 by simonmac is a classic car indeed and Worthy of an admiring glance or two.
A real vintage car from Eric_D 1306 steals the show as regards vehicles. Classy as well as Classic!
Many Cycled Home by Flan grabs the top spot though. It is a wonderful composition and has been finished with consummate skill.
And finally, Noelcmn presents a brilliant study of a fine camera.
