Congrats Stan, cracking image, so crisp, combined with a stunning composition! And extended to Johnriley, for another cracking image, full of mood and a nice jazzy feel to that image. Thanks to our host Hazyj, for a lovely challenge and the judging exercise. And quite agree, some very good images in this challenge.

Missed not reading your thought and comments on each photo. No matter if I win or lose, I LOVE knowing how the judge saw my photo, what he thought, and how it played out.
I know it is extra work to comment on each participant, but I really thought that was part of the rules and part of the competations.
I have judged many myself, and I do know the work involved, but I also know the rewards in sharing my thoughts to each persons photos.
I would hate to see this as the new trend.
Congrats to the winner...beautifully done.

johnriley was a close second with his evocative "blowing the blues". I love the atmosphere of that picture.
Thank you to all the other contestents who did not quite make it this week but you did make it hard to choose a winner.
I look forward to seeing the subject for next week's contest.
