O.K., here we go!

Strictly speaking...by Aitch53.
Setting the bar for the comp., a straight interpretation of the theme. Technique fine.

Rock, Paper & Sissors On a Photo Shoot! by JudithAnn.
Surreal or what! Did you see all this in a dream? How long did it take? Expecting it all to become animated any second now.... Great!

Scissor vs Scissor by stefano2704.
Nice bit of creative action. Were your two accomplices playing anyway, or was this set up?And if this is in a workshop, where's the black & yellow stripey tape? Dangerous game, this! H&S equipment?

The Rock by Noelcmn.
Location, location, location!
You certainly found the biggest rock! And the fallen tree will become paper, sooner or later..
If you'd have waited a little, the lady's arm would have come up from out of the pool, holding the Camelot Scissors!
Simples!

Coming up on the outside, "Paper" looks to wrap this one up! by drofmit.
This looks like the final still from an animated film of "Scissors, Paper, Stone", & what a battle it seems to have been!
The scissors have had it, the secateurs are destroyed, the paper's slashed & cut to ribbons!
But wait.....The paper's making a comeback! Will it succeed? Tune in next week to "SPS" part 2.
Well done, great thoughts, loads of set-up, A Winner!

Thanks to all who took part, perhaps in retrospect, not the easiest of themes. But, hey! If it was that easy.......
They'd all be doing it.

Wouldn't they?

Thanks for the first place Roger.... and congrats to Judith-Ann and Noel.
I know I am usually the last to post.... but never as close as this.... I remembered at almost the last hour.
At around 10:30pm my wife said "It's June tomorrow!" with reference to something else [9:30 UK time!]
One hour to set up, take picture and apply the boot polish.
I had an idea in mind and everything was collected.... but.... phew!!

It is a real shame that there were only five entries.... hopefully that doesn't mean that there are less and less Pentaxians?!
Or, perhaps it is just that everyone is tied up doing other things.... I missed the last weekly because I was gardened out... and nearly missed this for the same reason.
Never be afraid to talk about your techniques...
"Give a thousand photographers...
the same camera, lens and scene...
and you'll always get a thousand different takes!!"
Anon.

Well done to dromfit and to all the other entrants. The statement, 'We've all played it, haven't we?' comes back with the response from me, 'No!' Perhaps others were the same.
I tried looking up what it was all about but couldn't make sense of it therefore was unable to image it.
PS I'm still none the wiser!

I like that set up, and like Roger, can sense the "battle" there. Nice one Dromfit, and congrats. Worthy winner. And congrats extended to JudithAnne. A hearty thanks to Roger for this interesting challenge, which I thought may get some of us out of comfort zones to think a bit out of the box (not that I followed that course) and a pity so few entries.

Yes, that was my first port of call but it left me non the wiser other than knowing it goes back long time. Unless you've played a game you don't really get to appreciate the intricacies of it. In other words I still don't get the point of it or would know where to start so wouldn't know how to effectively illustrate it. Seems I wasn't alone.
Out of interest, how does the photo of the rock in a pool of water relate to the game? Do you have to throw things at it or something?

I went with this gap " or any one component, or any combination of any two,"
Interest and perhaps useful, we played some team games at our youth meeting on Friday evening, and part of it was that if the team "broke the rules" of the game, they lose one team member. Then it was a matter of who? They instinctively played Paper, Rock, Scissors to decide.
