Great! I'm not interested in macro photography (who knows what the future might bring though) but this does seem to be the best option. I've made my choice, thanks everyone!

Thanks for all the replies!

I'm probably asking a stupid question, but do you mean the TAMRON 70-300/4-5,6 DI Macro Pentax? The Macro-part confuses me, does that just say that this is a feature of the lens? What does a macro lens have what a regular lens doesn't?

Thanks Jon Schick for your great response! I was wondering about whether to take a 18-200 lens or a 50-200. 18-200 adds great usability (no need to change lenses), but your argument that it will be outperformed by both the 18-55 and the 50-200 is very convincing, I also read this on other websites. Plus, it's much cheaper to go with the 50-200 option.

What is the difference exactly between a WR camera and a non-WR camera? Is it huge?

Thanks for the suggestion, I will look around for that!

Hi there, I own a Pentax k200d with a standard 18-55 kit lens. Now I want to buy a telezoom lens and basically the choice boils down to this (due to my budget and the available lenses in my area):

A Pentax smc DA 50-200mm f/4-5.6 ED for 99 euros.
A TAMRON AF 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 XR ASP PENTAX AF for 162,50 euros.
A SIGMA 55-200/4.0-5.6 DC Pentax-AF for 39 euros. (which is extremely cheap I believe, maybe there's a catch?)

What do you think is the best choice? I'm not confident enough to buy a second-hand lens, because I'm simply not experienced enough. I am on a tight budget, so money is a factor.

Thanks!

I'm the proud owner of a Pentax K200D! I'm very happy There is a little smudge (I hope it is a smudge though) though on the first glass you see of the body. I have no idea how it got there, I didn't touch it, and I only replaced the objective twice, carefully. What's the best way to remove it?

There are rumors that say the production line of the k200d has stopped ( http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-news-rumors/51429-k200d-sold-out-end-l... ). If that's true, that sucks: I don't like the K-m, and the K20d is too expensive, and I don't want to buy second hand.

Where are you in the Netherlands? Can you add your whereabouts to your profile for us please?
Welcome to the forum btw.
Maybe you should consider a trip to Urk sometime, or have a look on Kieskeurig to see who else has them in stock, and is maybe easier for you to get to.
I've added the wherabouts

I always look on Tweakers.net, and Kieskeurig also didn't come up with some close cheap shops. I don't have a car, so I have to get to the shop by public transport, and Urk is a pain to go to from Almere. But I'm hoping the shop in Amsterdam has the K200d by tomorrow. But I'm patient

unfortunately they are out of stock in the decent priced shops (seems to be a problem here in the Netherlands).
Not true, I am afraid. Cameranu has them in stock plenty. Several configurations available. And it's probably one of the most decent priced shops around these days. They do deliver at your doorstep, so you don't have to travel to Urk, if you have a problem with that.

Martin.
I want a shop nearby though, so I can go to that shop physically if I have a question/problem

Sorry, poor student, I can't afford it, I have to make choices I prefer a nice trip above image quality
