Thanks Algi,

I looked this up on Ebay and I believe this is a bracket to hold two cameras. or to quickly move a camera from side to side to produce the 'stereo' views. I have done this in the past with a slide rail (designed for fine focusing for macro photos) moving a camera from side to side. It worked well, but it not what I want to continue doing.

I really appreciate your help.

Best regards,

Bill

John,

I did recognize the roles of the two elements. So, in your opinion, the device would work as designed with a APS-C sized sensor?

I was afraid that the side by side images on the sensor would be cropped such that the centers of the portrait would not be in the centers of the stereo image pairs forcing further narrowing of the stereo field of view.

Oh well, perhaps I will give it a whirl. It is not all that much money in the grand scheme of things.

Thanks again. I really appreciate your comments.

Thanks John,

I have used similar programs as well as Photoshop processes. They all work well if one begins with stereo pairs. Do I understand that you used the subject adapter to capture the stereo pairs?

In any case, thank you so much for your speedy reply.

Regards,

Bill

Hi All,

I just became excited about stereo photography and wondered if the subject adapter would work with the Pentax DSLR cameras; they all have APS-C sized sensors.

I also came across the Loreo 3D Stereo Lens - Full Frame for Pentax. The "Full Frame" comment leads me to believe the DSLR sensor will be too small.

Is anyone aware of an lens adapter to create anaglyph images in camera. I have seen the special telephoto zoom, but I was not very satisfied with the output as it seems only to 'tinker' with the out of focus parts of an image; very clever, but not what I think is needed.

Anyway, I know this thread is a couple of years old, but I thought I would give it a try.

Best of everything
