Hello Peeps. I'm a new user of the Pentax brand having just bought a Samsung GX-10 ( GX10 ) from a fellow Pentax User Forum Member (Hi John).

I like the idea of having such an extensive accessory list that Pentax Users have. I had been using Olympus/Panasonic Four Thirds but have slowly moved away and chosen, essentially, Pentax even though I bought Samsung.

I'm not a Photographer, just a hobbyist. What drew me to Pentax was simply a matter of elimination.

Panasonic Four Thirds - Limited accessories, basically a dead system.
Olympus Four Thirds - Sensor Size.
Nikon - My brothers got one
Canon - Friends got one
Sony - nah!
Pentax!

Doesn't seem to be favourable just choosing Pentax this way but that's pretty much how it happened.

So what do I like about the GX-10/K10d.

Larger Sensor thus brighter viewfinder for manual focus
Stacks of Lenses

Yes and No!

Yes it'll fit and function but won't follow the contours of the cameras grip and will also need "sanding" (just the lip).

Thought I'd have my first post here as an answer as I have just got myself a GX-10 ( GX10 ).

Although the grip issue is now well know those new to Pentax/Samsung may find this search useful.

Only a few months ago the Samsung grip could have been had for around £80 but now they're well over twice that! This, I think, may have something to do with the GX10 / GX20 second hand market - possibly.

There don't seem to be any third-party Samsung grips and those for the K10d / K20d appear to be of various standards and functions. Some have the extra buttons and dials whilst others don't.
