I hope it did contain some Nuts!
I am honestly begining to wonder, they look like nuts but this is the worst year I've known for lack of birds in the garden. The fat balls were untouched too. Getting a few starlings a sparrow or two and saw a robin yesterday but that has been it. Maybe when the weather gets worse?

It's 'elf an safety Gov.

Why do people believe a book telling them there are millions of stars but do not believe a simple sign saying "Wet Paint"

Perhaps you should have zoomed in on the left nostril Or better still serve the duck roasted with a bottle of JB Adam, Gewurztraminer Reserve, Alsace, (France), 2003 or Tablas Creek Vineyard, Roussanne, Paso Robles, (California), 2003. A little off topic but delicious all the same

I've just dug out a Vivitar 45 meter which appears to work. I'll have to compare readings with the camera and see what the results are. Not sure how "sharp" they will be doing everything manual Pointing the meter at the computer monitor lining up the pointers and reading the dial it's f8 at '15 so I'm assuming that means 1/15sec. I think it's the first time since 1995 it been out of the bag

Walking two miles Peter I thought it was photography not golf

As one of the young ones I was volunteered to help decorate the local W.I hall in readiness for their Christmas Festivities. The other chap who helps is at least 10 years older than me but is still very sprightly. I must say we have made a very nice job of it too, so no doubt we'll be rewarded again with a box of chocs, even though a Thank You is reward enough.
I had planned to take photographs with the 10-24mm lens so we can use them as a template next year but camera is away for repair, hopefully done before we take the decorations down again.
Weather remains Autumnal broaching on Winter with a few moments of Spring when the sun shone through the hall windows.
She who must be obeyed wants an iPod for Christmas, I was going to suggest an iRon but may have finished up wearing it

I take incident light readings, that is I measure the light falling on the subject rather than the light reflected by it. it is 100% accurate for what I do.
Really new to this, what meter do you use. I understand with film going to the subject and taking a reading ( through the dome? ) or metering my hand, does it work the same for digital. What about in wide open spaces? Should I always take a test shot at different exposures. Of course I'm talking of having plenty of time to set it up type of photos.

Using the histogram at the taking stage, controlling the clipping in the Raw Converter and using levels in Post Processing, is the modern equivalent of the Zone System.
I thought Zone System was something to to with American Zip codes

I think I'll just go back to taking photos on my phone, the results will probably be the same
