The Beaufort wind force scale "Sea descriptive term" for a hurricane is Phenomenal. He was spot on there then

I like them all and #7 especially as you have caught a combination of curves and stripes and the heat shimmer from the engine.

I bought an "as new" laptop through Gumtree. I obtained the phone number from the vendor and negotiated a good price. He only lived a few miles away so was able to inspect before purchase. I got a very good deal.
Sadly there hasn't been anything else I wanted, within driving distance.

We used to have fried fish every morning, except Sunday, for breakfast when I first went to sea in trawlers. The "fish for the cook" was gutted and left overnight to bleed, obviously you were left to choose, within reason, what fish you wanted. I usually had 3 or four haddock fillets and if available a couple of lemon soles filleted. On a long trip when the 'normal' food had run out we would have fish done in different ways, cod baked in the oven and such like. The practice was stopped when the price of fish cost more than supplying bacon and eggs, and more of the other staples.
