Sssshhhh! Don't tell anyone but that shot (and all the shots *of* the lenses) was taken with the GRD - my camera of choice for eBay etc.

It's OK Hefty i can keep a secret.Still use mine a lot for b+w. Regards TONY.

This neg was my first attempt,i do think though that you need to choose the ones that have a good definition to start with.I shall be trying a few more over the next week or two so will post any interesting ones.
It would great to see other people's examples too.Try it. It's fun. Regards Tony.

Hi Montyaus,A velux window is just set into a roof, this gives you an angle pointing skywards, therefore nice and bright. In Aus i'm sure you have plenty of good light! Regards Tony.
P.S A tripod is also a good idea.

PPS. John Thanks for posting the Link

I've been looking through some old negs(25years or so),and came across this one.I don,t have a neg scanner so instead i taped the neg to a Velux window and took a few frames as an experiment. And this is the result, not too bad i thought.
I converted the colour neg image to positive in P.S Elements, and then did the usual contrast, sharpening, exposure adjustments.
My question to fellow Pentaxians is,have you tried anything like this, and do you have any other tips/methods to do the same thing, and or examples of similar experiments.
I used the K200 with DA35 Macro,manual focus,f22

Hi Mike,Just a heads up.SRS have a Zeiss 50mm 1.4 Planar in the /Pentax/Used Equipment/MF lens section.
Also i have the Voigtlander 58MM 1.4 and find it a great walk about lens combined with the 21Limited.Tony.

Hi Dr Muhni,Well done on the judging. My shot was a bit of playtime late afternoon. As you rightly twigged the original is problematic, in that i took the picture from inside a cafe, the old boy was the other side of the road and i only had the 35mm on camera.Hence large crop and difficult reflections to deal with.I liked the motif of the old man''juxtaposed''with the posters for Christmas and New Years Eve.But i do agree it will not be to everyone's taste.
Well done David and Lilly, the stand out ones for this competition. Regards Tony.
