Former Royal Navy submariner and now a TV Cameraman with BBC Wales. I began photography at Gosford Hill School, Kidlington, Oxon aged 14 when I was a member of Kidlington Photographic Society for many years before joining Neath PS when I moved to Wales. Got my LRPS in September 1991 but did not go further and was the PRO and judge with the Welsh Photographic federation where I helped introduce the WPF distiction.
I have been a cameraman now for just over 30 years working in both studios and on outside broadcasts filming a variety of programmes including the Welsh soap Pobol-Y-Cwm, the local news and of course rugby!
I enjoyed keeping fit in the gym, flying and amateur radio and hold the callsign GW0VSW. I am also a volunteer in the Sea Cadet Corps where I instruct communications and am the Chief Pilot for the recently introduced Cadet Naval Aviation Course.
